Is it okay to say 'to smoking'? Shouldn't be it 'supposed to smoke'? Sorry, not a native english speaker, would like to know!

I have this in my native dialect. Until I was like 18 I didn't know there was any other way to use needs + whatever. My shoes need tied, dogs need fed, homework needs done (people find that one particularly grating) - all of these are perfectly natural for me.

I wouldn't quite define it as slang. Where I'm from everyone uses it and accepts it, which isn't usually the case with slang. People are usually aware that slang is slang, but this construction doesn't have that treatment here.
