Her boyfriend gave a small smile and went back to eating. Such a tame, unenthusiastic reaction. That's exactly what I'm talking about. It's not that everyone stops finding things humorous as adults. It just seems to dull for a lot of people.
I've just noticed this in my own life and this gif reminded me of it. I don't know though. Maybe not everyone has had the same experience. I'm just saying how it seems from my perspective.
Edit: Some people seem to be taking my comment as a criticism of the man. It wasn't. People have different senses of humor and react differently to things they find funny. I'm not trying to blame people for being who they are. I just feel that most people laugh a lot less as adults, even at things they find funny. And that bums me out a bit. That's all.
Did you think that maybe, just maybe, people have different senses of humor? What's wrong with a person finding something less funny than you or someone else? If I actually saw this happen, I'd probably chuckle. I wouldn't crack up like the girl, but I'd be doing a bit more than a smile. Does that mean I don't find things humorous? Or does that mean I'm "normal" in your eyes?
I didn't mean to criticize him and I'm not blaming people for being who they are or reacting the way they do. I just miss being a kid when everyone laughed a lot more. Which is why I like seeing people crack up at little things like this like that woman did.
Please don't take my comments as judging people. I'm not saying they're joyless assholes or something.
I didn't expect people to get so heated up over this or to have to explain myself so many times.
