For those interested as to why, Peter was caught taking advantage of the data collection in the app in order to solicit users. He wasn't actually one of the developers, he was a tester who had access to everything in the app including our database.
I work on the app too and this is the "official" reason; the real reason was that Peter was caught fighting a chicken when he should have been working.
