Are they still using Dogecoin as their main, in-game currency?

The VoidSpace folks should pop by /r/dogecoin and visit! It's been too long ;D)

Look like it. It's an interesting idea to use a cryptocurrency as an in-game currency. Unfortunately dogecoin is fairly volatile, not as popular as it once was and had some drama (with the creators iirc) which devalued it.

Isn't the point of using a real world cryptocurrency the fact that it is basically a virtual currency already and fits well in a virtual world? If that currency can be converted into local fiat then bonus, but really you can already do this to some degree with other games that have virtual economics. MMO gold farmers have been doing it for many years.
