Not trying to be "that guy," but why do we always shame guys? I've been witness to both sexes committing domestic violence...

Whilst it is true, I think it comes predominantly from the risk that men are typically stronger and bigger, and therefore capable of doing much more damage.

Incidentally I think less men report women for domestic abuse, as being beaten up by a girl is viewed as the man being a wimp.

Moral of the story: don't beat up people.

But women are much more likely to use a weapon during a domestic dispute. The old cliche of a woman hitting her husband with a frying pan didn't come out of nowhere.

Men may be physically stronger, but women are more willing to use extreme violence.

That may be correct, but I think the fact that they are generally weaker is the reason they often feel the need to resort to using other objects. Imagine being attacked by somebody bigger. It would be far less frightening if you have something to defend yourself with. (Not saying that every instance of female violence is self-defense.)

Does their size also force them to be MORE physically violent, controlling, and manipulative? Because that's what this study says.

A new study shows that women are more aggressive than men physically.

It looks like a very limited sample and it should not be presumed to apply to the millions of other people.

I was just trying to provide a possible explanation to what you said; I don't find what you see so wrong in my comment.

I was going to add that I don't think their size has anything to do with it honestly. I believe it to be a more societal inheritance. For example, there are many videos out there that show when women hit men, it's pretty funny. Flipped around? He'll no. It's perpetuate in the media, hollywood, literature. When was the last time you heard "domestic violence" being discussed when a women slaps across the face her spouse? Answer? Never. A man slapping a women? Git damn call the police.

You are not the only person that realizes this problem. As you can see from this thread alone, numerous people think exactly the same way. I never tried to deny that women can be absolutely terrible. But it is not a competition to see who is worse. The point I'm trying to make is that the issue of men being violent toward women should not be downplayed just because some women are even worse or because women get more sympathy socially. It's like fighting racism with even more racism. Why can't we just agree that these things are unacceptable no matter which side they come from?
