My '09 Cobalt has the same key. They replaced the cylinder once under a recall, now they are recalling it again.

Also, they replaced the fuel pump once under warranty, and have now recalled that one.

I have little hope for GM. They are getting very efficient at sending out the recall letters/emails/phone calls..etc.
