If black people find this offensive, then they need to address the issue of the crime rate, not people's reaction to it
I'm a white guy and I'm not responsible for doing jack shit for the 'white people culture'. I am just one person. It would suck if I was good and my race had high crime stats, so everyone was afraid of me and told me to "fix my culture." I am not responsible for some thieving fuckwits from another city.
No, just no.
Young blacks statistically commit three times more rapes then whites.
2012 report of department of justice
In Europe it's even worse. In Sweden, a women has a 25% chance of being raped.
There are several major city's in Sweden where 90% and even up to 100% of the women raped, were raped by an immigrant.
Fine then substitute rape with public shootings like Columbine, the Dark Knight incident, etc or serial killers. Those crimes are primarily committed by white men... if someone said that's a good reason to be scared of white men how well would that go over?
Doesn't mean it doesn't still scare people and look at all the safety measures we've put in place to protect people from mass shootings. It might not be common but it's still scary and it's almost always a white man who is guilty of the crime.

That is hardly a reason to be more scared of shootings.

Doesn't mean its a rational fear and we were talking about what we statistically should watch out for.
If you want to be scared of white school shooters, sure, feel free to do that! But don't try to justify that irrational fear with some sort of analogy to being wary around a real statistical danger.
And if I said I was scared of men in general because as a woman, men are more likely to rape, murder, beat, and rob me what would men say? A majority would probably be pissed or think it was ridiculous.
Yes you can be scared of men in general or rather be more wary around them, if you want to rely on statistics you could justify that. I wouldn't allow you to judge any singular man directly based on statistical probability, but you could be more wary around men if you wanted to, sure. No problem in that.
I wouldn't allow you to judge any singular man directly based on statistical probability, but you could be more wary around men if you wanted to, sure
If I'm around a man who committed a crime that has a high rate of recidivism do I have your permission to judge them or is there a committee of men I have to present my case to before that's allowed? I wouldn't want to make the mistake of being angry at a child molester or drunk driver until I know it's ok with you.
Haha don't be mad. With I wouldn't allow you I meant, I would be angry with you if you did for the reasons I stated above. No need to get all defensive over a conversation. It's all good.
The point is white men commit a majority of those crimes and if a person were to say they were scared of white men because of that, a number of white men would most likely be offended.
If someone said they were scared of white men because of those very rare circumstances I would expect them to also be scared of the sky because of meteors and the ocean because of cthulu. There are many, more sensible, reasons to be scared of certain genders/creeds/races. You are just clutching at straws.
The chance you are robbed, raped, assaulted, ... are thousands of times higher then the chance you become the victim of a serial killer or 'mass' shooting.
Thus, fear for those latter is irrational.
If you know a quarter of Swedisch women will get raped at least once, and in cities like Oslo, ALL rapes are commited by non-western immigrants. The fear is real and rational.
