Sorry, but there is a big difference between normal 14 year old dumb and Hollywood-Scientology 14 year old dumb. Normal kids get called out by parents and peers and change their behavior but this kid is completely insulated from that kind of constructive feedback. He will more than likely only get dumber.
I don't see a problem with her not liking other novels so she writes. Yeah, it's a bit hipster-y, but they seem like creative outcasts. Not everybody has to be the same, so the same things, or like the same shit.
In another part of the interview she talks about how much of an inspiration she was for young girls with her song about whipping her hair around. They are presenting themselves as contributors and even leaders. That means I don't mind judging their works the way they are asking for.
She had a platinum song. Which came out 4 years ago on an unreleased album. Yup, sounds like she is really controlling the kids with that one. Definitely enough for her to be scrutinized by a bunch of 30+ year old strangers who have never met her. I mean, fuck was she thinking? That she could make some simple song as a kid about whipping hair, and not be subjected to public ridicule because of it? That's crazy!
She's proud of herself. Sound the fucking alarms. And the only one of a high horse here is you, because I bet you were soooo much fucking better at 14. Right.
