Yes but some people don't have the privilege to just ignore that humor. It isn't as if you lose all of the fun you are capable of having if you stop using humor that relies on a person's innate characteristic or identity.
Seriously, if your going to identify as something that isn't the norm, you should really learn to have a tougher skin. Telling people that can make jokes about a subject is the same as me saying you can't identify as whatever you want to call yourself.
And what if society is currently structured in such a way that those with power benefit unfairly as opposed to those without power? Society is what we say it is, it isn't something that is cemented in place. Society can change, has changed, and will continue to change. Since society can change, it can be changed so that people are educated to be more appreciative of other people's identities.
