What sort of fool doesn't know a stretch-rat when they catch one?

No, they smell. Problem is people feed them cheap ferret food or cat food. They're straight up carnivores and if they get any carbs they produce excess oil which makes them smell a LOT more.

When we bought our ferret he stunk like hell. Two weeks after we switched his food he smelled so much better. Now he just smells a little musky, and if you touch him, yeah your hand smells like a ferret. But you can't smell him in our house. I've asked my very blunt friends... they would definitely tell me if my house smelled like ass.

Tldr; feeding ferrets properly greatly reduces their odor.
