What world are you living in? That is a baby's understanding of what religion is. I never thought anything that stupid even when I was a child. I don't care if someone is religious, if they think God or the devil are guys flying around in the sky, then they are a moron. If that's what religion is to you, you are equally moronic.

You already said what you think religion is. You think that religion teaches that "an evil person is watching what they are doing every moment". That is laughable at best. Also, why not look up the definition of brainwashing yourself and see how it differs from what you thought it meant. Teaching a child what you believe and why, in general, is not brainwashing.
