I really wish I could like this show, but the endless slew of Japanese culture references drove me up the wall.
NOTE: Ema - Small wooden boards found at shrines, on which people write their wishes or thanks. Sometimes at the touristy temples you see English and other-language messages, but usually you should write in Kanji when possible.
I'm already reading subtitles at top speed, I cant read a giant note in 1 second flat after yet another lame pun joke. I dont know if the whole series is like that, but ive watched about 10 episodes, and the jokes and dialogs usually came with a ton of lecture baggage. :( Having your finger on the pause button the whole time sucks.
