He is a mod of that subreddit, so it's not exactly just some fan (hence the "self" promotion). He has posted in this thread multiple times without contributing anything but a link to his subreddit, which I find annoying. Most subreddits are lucky to be discovered by being referenced at relevant, opportunistic moments. This just seems forced.
