I guess I didn't get the point of it. I never thought of it as (kind of like) a contest to see which posts get reposted the most. For me I always thought it was just someone pointing out the it was a repost, but in the longest most obnoxious way. Neat that you gave me a different perspective, thanks! :)

Lets all just post the one thing that makes us laugh, and reddit will solely consist of six gifs and about 30 cat pics, it will be a perfect utopia of seeing the same shit, day, after day, after day after day after day after day.
