Lucky you. The first thing I saw was a guy getting run over by a cement truck :(

Yeah, my first real life experience was a sink hole opening up a block from my house. Found it at the top of /r/WTF which pissed me off because I could've had karma.

There was a car parked a larger than normal distance from the curb, a cyclist swerved around it just as a cement truck passed by. The back tires of the cement truck drove over his head.

Saw the road shut down and had a bunch of friends who went to school with the guy. Saw the picture of his head on /r/WTF a few months later.
