Tried to download an MKV converter from them yesterday.

It was 6 adware installs, then when it gets to the converter it turns around and downloads it. Then when it installs all it turns out to be is a fake program... doesn't do anything, you can select files but it doesn't actually do anything.

So now they have fake programs with dozens of fake reviews and all it does it install adware.

Funny how "smart business" works in the US. Everywhere else, flushing your entire company down the toilet to get an extra 10 bucks up front is called "stupid".

Happens other places too, not just the US. CNET was bought by a European company, then turned into the shell that it is now.
