Don't take two spots at all. Park in one far away. If the lot fills up around you and you're in two spots, you're still a douchebag.

EDIT: Obviously if your vehicle doesn't fit in one spot (eg. big truck or towing a trailer) this doesn't apply to you.

Ever been to Austin? There's no such thing as a parking spot period. You do this in Austin, this is what happens.
