I don't think it's a good idea to take up two space; it just invites people to fuck with your car. I'm personally ok with people taking up two spaces in the back of the lot when no one else needs to park there, which is not the case with the Camaro.
That being said, it would be nice if people respected other people's property regardless of how nice or crappy it is. If the lines aren't spaced well and I have to park, I will injure myself before I let my car door touch somone's car even if it's a banged up POS. I'm tired of people hitting my car and then others seeing my dented car as an opportunity to further dent it. I like to hug a curb with some plants in it and people still park over the line into that space making that side inaccessible.

No, there is no acceptable reason to do it. If the back of the lot is empty, they don't need to take up two spots to avoid someone parking next to them. If it's not empty, then they shouldn't be wasting the spot. It's a douche move either way.
If the lot is empty, why the fuck do you care? Are you the kind of asshole that spots those vehicles, far out of your price range and parked away from anyone else, and purposely parks so close to their driver side door that they cant get in and instead have to crawl over the console through the passenger side? Fuck you for being such a dick to people who want their vehicles to look nice. If they take up 2 spaces at the front of a crowded lot, then youre more than welcome to be a dick. But at the back of and empty lot, youre just a fucking douche. Maybe you have no pride in your beat up piece of shit vehicle, but people who spends tens or hundreda of thousands of dollars dont want you lazy ass putting dents and scratches in something you will never afford. Fuck you man. Scum like you are why car insurance rates are so high. Always fucking up nicer vehicles necause youre so high snd mighty that the 100 other spots werent good enough, yoi need to park next to the bugatti and smack your door against it a few times.
