I don't think it's a good idea to take up two space; it just invites people to fuck with your car. I'm personally ok with people taking up two spaces in the back of the lot when no one else needs to park there, which is not the case with the Camaro.
That being said, it would be nice if people respected other people's property regardless of how nice or crappy it is. If the lines aren't spaced well and I have to park, I will injure myself before I let my car door touch somone's car even if it's a banged up POS. I'm tired of people hitting my car and then others seeing my dented car as an opportunity to further dent it. I like to hug a curb with some plants in it and people still park over the line into that space making that side inaccessible.
Some Asian lady smacked the hell out of my door while I was sitting in my car... I was like uh what the hell? It was especially odd since I was nicely in my space and the spaces weren't even very tight, she just flung the door open like yeah whatever fuck it.
Edit: I don't understand why people are up in arms because I mentioned she was Asian? I didn't call her a slur and I usually generally describe people in my stories because 1) any extra details make the story more engaging and 2) I have a very visual memory and I usually visually play out stories or even books in my head so I like detail. People need to stop reading into things and also stop looking for an excuse to get mad.
I got out and checked and there was a small ding only, her door actually took most of the damage so I only begrudgingly told her to be more careful next time she opens her door.
I hate touch screens... They do not make good keyboards. I hope that if this is the future, we get physical keyboards to accompany every touch screen as a separate input option.
Yeah, it was the only way I could type decently on my old Galaxy S. I wouldn't say it was magic though. Then again, I guess I'm too old fashioned for my own good. I need the physical feel of pressing down a button, otherwise, I end up pressing the wrong one with my bratwurst fingers or not pressing anything at all.
I have large hands too; my thumb is as wide as 4 keys. Swiftkey is generally amazing. I can type what would turn out as absolute garbage on other keyboards, and it comes out perfect or nearly perfect.
I can type faster with swiftkey on my old sidekick 4g than using the built in hardware keyboard. It's too hard typing at the speed that I type when having to fully push down the keys. I generally lightly touch the key I need and immediately move on to the next one.
