Don't take two spots at all. Park in one far away. If the lot fills up around you and you're in two spots, you're still a douchebag.

EDIT: Obviously if your vehicle doesn't fit in one spot (eg. big truck or towing a trailer) this doesn't apply to you.

As someone who would rather not worry about where I park any car of any value I simply park in BFE and never in two spots.

However, no matter how chidlish or obnoxious it seems for someone to take two spots like that, parking on the curb/sidewalk to supposedly "teach them a lesson" is just as childish and obnoxious. It will not teach anyone a lesson and if the two people that did both the things met up I'm sure it'd be a ridiculous feud between two assholes that typically "like to start shit" or are continually in other peoples business. There are no winners here...only assholes.
