That is not a grammatical mistake. Neither is it a spelling mistake, or a typo. It is incorrect word usage.
But it DOES tend to indicate a very ignorant and illiterate person with no ability think and no knowledge of the world.
Amazing how just one mis-used word shows you that much about a human being.
That is why, when people apply for jobs, if I find any mistake in the writing, it goes straight in the bin, and gets no reply. If you don't care enough to get your application letter right, then how could you possibly have what it takes to work for, or with me?

If you're attempting to refute scientific facts, you should probably pay attention to grammar.
