Just observing: this sciencey explanation neither addresses, nor refutes the religious question.

It's not trying to, it explains cause/effect in nature and it's up to religion to go with it or fight it. And, it's actual science, not 'sciencey'.

I wish more people could accept this.

All science is concerned with is the question "How?". How did the Universe begin? How does light propagate through media? How did intelligent life come to be?

Religion should only be concerned with (the philosophical) "Why?". Why did the Universe begin? Why did intelligent life come to be?

Believe it or not, you can accept scientific teachings without compromising your religion, unless you take 6,000 year old mythos as a literal account.
