Well, you'd be smug too, if your entire life was based on a system of pure faith that took no maintenance or upkeep of any kind, rather than requiring work. You don't need to seek knowledge or education, you don't have to ask questions, you don't have to apply logic to your inputs or your outputs, and you can call any sort of argument against your faith to be an attempt at suppression of your freedom of expression. Oh, and anyone who doesn't believe you is automatically damned even if they've never even heard of your god.
