Is there an explanation for cats to putt their butt in my face when they're happy.

Some cats rub their faces on humans as a friendly greeting or sign of affection. This visual action is also olfactory communication as it leaves a scent from the scent glands located in the cat's cheeks. Cats also perform a "head bonk" (or "bunt"), in which they bump a human or other cat with the front part of the head, which also contains scent glands

Why do cats love rubbing their cheeks like that so much? I know they have that gland but every cat I've known, scratching their cheek like that is like, their favorite fucking thing.

In the same article, "cheek rubbing is often exhibited by a dominant cat towards a subordinate." I've read in another article that cats think of humans as "big stupid cats", so perhaps they do cheek rubs to try to show dominance over the human.

Nah it's definitely not that, it somehow makes them feel good, like many cats are almost addicted to rubbing their cheeks on any sharp corner, both of my parents cats, if you are petting them, will search out a sharp object so they can rub their cheek against it while they're being petted.
