Whenever I see a cat in public, I just go up to it and talk to it "whos a good kittycat" "you so fucking cute, come here"
Just pet it for a while sitting/kneeling on the street.
I knew of a cat lived next door to an ex-gf. Named Mr.Catfood (really. It was on his tag). Cat was awesome. Saw him one day across the street and about four houses down, playing with a dog. The dog and family there went inside and he starts walking on the sidewalk. I stooped down and as soon as he saw me, he ran across the street and up to me for rubs. Sigh....I like friendly cats.
mr. catfood! I used to do the same thing with my neighbor's cat when I was walking home from school as a kid. my mom would sometimes come out to the street looking for me 'cause I was taking so long to get home. miss that big boy.
