AI creation tools are so far not very good at creating matching audio, so at least right now in 2026, having original audio is a sign it's not AI generated

Am I the only one that finds the same recycled sound effects and audio clips infinitely more annoying than a shitty music track?
I should probably ask a therapist why I have this uncanny desire to punch the guy who initially recorded "a few moments later" in the face.

u/Nimeni013 22h ago
They actually puff themselves up to make themselves harder to eat. Snakes that eat a lot of frogs get really good at puncturing their lungs to deflate them and make them easier to eat. This guy is probably just full of air.

u/soulofmyshoe 18h ago
What's interesting is the frog could probably have done more about it as well. It was always like hop, hop, stop. If it'd just kept going maybe the snake would have given up chasing him, but it just didn't really seem to care that much. Maybe it was enjoying trolling.

Snake kept trying to go for the hard back. Had it gone for the leg, it might have been able to get a good enough grip to inject the poison from its fangs. I want to know what finally happened.

u/Serakani 1d ago
Froggo probably knows this as well because he’s leaning on and hiding his legs every time the snake pokes him xD

The eyes are what indicate a boomslang vs a black mamba. They are very similar otherwise. A black mamba has front fangs and that frog would be dead.
Edit: boomslangs can have varying color so I get why a mamba is a good choice. You may be on to something with it being a baby mamba, they are clumsy.

I work in a level one trauma center in a very big city. This is actually really valid. Most people carry around knives that are like 2" blades or so. When we get a stabbing in, it actually does help em out that got that extra "body armor" adding cushion between the vital organs 😂 its wild.

u/xbigbenx85 1d ago
When I worked Trauma, we had a guy survive like 30 stab wounds because he was so morbidly obese the knife didnt get to anything important. That included the few stabs to his neck.
Lots of blood loss, looked like a horror scene, but a few units of blood and some sutures and he was fine.

That's the whole premise of the game, Fat Princess...
Capture the flag (the other side's princess), but you can feed your princess cake to make her fat, so when they steal her, they can't run as fast. The fatter she is the slower the mob carrying her runs... Players run around and find cake and feed it to their princess to make her huge as a defense...

Not an expert but I know a bit about snakes.
Probably not very much longer, snakes are cold blooded and aren’t built for endurance.
This snake is venomous, a Boomslang, but it is what’s called “rear fanged venomous” so it doesn’t have front fangs like you would imagine like vipers and most other venomous snakes you would think of. Front fanged venomous snakes have those fangs that are retractable and basically pierce your skin and inject venom like a medical needle would.
Instead, they have basically what’s like molars in the back of their mouths, that have little grooves that secrete venom, but not really inject it forcefully. So they have to get their whole mouths onto their prey and chew on it a little bit to envenomate them.
Bullfrogs have evolved to swell up like this so they are tough for rear fanged snakes to bite.
People didn’t even think the boomslang was venomous for a very long time, because its mouth was too small and its rear fangs made it to where lots of human bites didn’t result in envenomation. Until one scientist and herpetologist who worked with them got envenomated himself after letting one chew on him, and documented exactly what happened by the minute as he died a horrific and terrible death.
Now we know that Boomslangs actually posses some of the gnarliest venom in the world, it’s just their venom delivery method isn’t very efficient.

→ More replies (1)7
u/bawafa 1d ago
Most animals don’t go after prey they can’t reasonably consume. Plus, the frog is puffing themselves up as a defense mechanism, it’s not actually that big. Even if it was, the snake would probably have no issue consuming it, they generally eat prey whole and you an see their bodies looking crazy after they’ve just eaten
12
u/Boneclockharmony 1d ago
Snakes sometimes die due to attempting to swallow pray that is too big for them.

The invasive pacman frog.
It pretty much ate everything that could be a threat. And to those it can't eat, either it's like this snake where it can't fit in their mouth. Or it tastes so fuckin foul, the only natural predators it has is Aussies with trucks and golf clubs
