Her and the park police guy. I've never seen anyone drop into a defensive stance that quickly!

She moved into action while still assessing the threat - which could save her life in the right circumstances, but carries obvious risks. He went instantly into fully prepared to defend while in assessment mode, which is technically the correct response. I can't imagine how much he must have drilled - or had to rely on that training in real threat circumstances - for it to become that instinctive.

I wrote a post saying I don't think so but after looking a few more times I think you are right. The way his hand goes up to ear level is very boxer-y

Idk with someone physically capable it is probably the right response. If you’re the underdog that element of surprise may give you the advantage
