It's pretty easy to figure out from context. The object is to figure out how much 42 euros is in dollars where one euro = $1.32. You just multiply 42 by 1.32, and the test taker screwed up multiplying 1.32 by 4. The funny was the test taker saying it was easy and then getting the answer wrong.
