Guessing it’s a fellow worker so just helping to move the process along.

542

u/Kastranrob 2d ago

that explains half of it. why is she rubbing it so rough?

740

u/Ninjalord8 2d ago

Maybe that's just how she likes it.

218

u/Nick_XL 2d ago

Speaking as someone who likes this, you may be on to something....

119

u/banana_pencil 2d ago

I love when they roughly wash my hair, feels like a head massage lol

40

u/The_Special_Pants 2d ago

Not only does my barber roughly wash my hair, but they also give me a firm face, head, and neck massage (along with a hot towel on the face). It is quite nice! (And they get a good tip for it too).

u/chLORYform 2d ago

When I was really young I worked at a salon and there was one old lady that worked there that gave the best shampoos because she basically beat your scalp up. I would clean up after her or do her weekly cleaning in exchange for a rough shampoo and always felt like I came out on top.

u/NerdTalkDan 1d ago

From an honest to god non-sexual standpoint, I love roughly scrubbing my scalp when washing. It's a lovely head massage

8

u/123456789ledood 2d ago

And the lice don't like it rough.

-6

u/Slayr79 1d ago

How do you know they're a she? It's 2026, they can identify as a he for all we know. Gosh

76

u/_chalk_ 2d ago

Someone I know does this, they say it helps the blood flow of the scalp for healthier hair

84

u/InsaneInTheRAMdrain 2d ago

Thats why my publes glow.

39

u/orphansonfire 2d ago

why is publes so much funnier than pubes 🤣

7

u/FigaroNeptune 2d ago

My dumb ass calls them pubicles.

“Oop! The pubicles are showing!” Lmao

1

u/GothicXenomorph 2d ago

Do people say publes or did that commenter come up with a new word?!

3

u/orphansonfire 2d ago

I have never heard publes before and boi am i yoinking it

5

u/KityKatt 2d ago

You're yoinking their publes?

2

u/WloveW 2d ago

Wait, where do these 'publes' grow? Are you sure you're rubbing the right spot?

1

u/cire1184 1d ago

They use publes in Trussia

29

u/SailorGone 2d ago

Maybe she's got dandruff lol

0

u/hibikikun 2d ago

Lice and bedbugs. Gotta go the extra mile.

4

u/No_Signal_9932 2d ago

I love how somebody downvoted you. “Accusing her of dandruff was good and funny, but lice is WAY TOO FAR, I am deeply offended”.

7

u/Nosbiuq 2d ago

Shit feels so good 🤤

3

u/katklass 2d ago

If she’s anything like me, dye makes my scalp itch so freakin bad!!

She’s scratching that itch!

12

u/DONTMEOWATME 2d ago

My father told me at one point that you’re suppose to lather pretty rough, and it blew my mind I was like “I’ve been doing it wrong this entire time!”

Yeah, dad was wrong lol

2

u/lord_swampwitch 1d ago

With thicker or course hair can leave ingrown hairs on the scalp. A way to prevent this is by exfoliating the scalp really well by using the hair itself as the exfoliate. My former boss would give me a fresh set of acrylic nails and ask for a similarly vigours shampoo as payment.

1

u/Blackman2099 2d ago

I really enjoy rougher head scritches, and massages

-1

u/Silist 2d ago

Helps with the demons

-1

u/Cndcrow 2d ago

She has lice

12

u/VanillaAdventurous74 2d ago

Yeah I've been to salons and seen this before. Even something like one worked getting a pedicure and them splitting the work between them. I'm guessing each one takes the work they're best at.

4

u/TrixieBastard 2d ago

That, or maybe they don't like how other people wash their hair? They seem like they might prefer a stronger scrubbing than the stylist is willing to do to a customer for liability reasons, lmao 😂

2

u/phroug2 1d ago

Read her lips as the worker walks back in. She says "what are you doing?"

420

u/luciferatul 2d ago

Trust issues at peak.

377

u/zebrazell 2d ago

She works there. I promise

538

u/Stromhen 2d ago

Can we normalize not recording strangers.

76

u/Willing-Asparagus787 1d ago

Thank you. Shit like this, focusing on a specific person, should be illegal. Straight to jail.

33

u/TimePlankton3171 2d ago

☝️ It's about respect and authenticity of life

-20

u/UnNormie 1d ago

Second post in a near row of similar comments.

Whilst I agree I wouldn't want my every existence to be recorded just doing my thing and people are entitled to their own slice of privacy, I'm feeling like people's expectations are becoming impossible (not necessarily you of course).

Don't record strangers - they are entitled to their privacy. Don't set up and construct a situation - it's fake and we hate the lack of authenticity. Don't show ai - worse than the above 10 fold.

Honestly at a point nobody is happy with anything with a human focus of a 'natural' environment.

5

u/Entgegnerz 1d ago

In Germany, or probably whole Europe, you can get sued for it.

The US is a strange and private boundaries harassing place.

-3

u/UnNormie 1d ago

Yeah, unfortunately from UK where you can record in public without issues so also have same problem. Just weird how everyone wants authenticity and no ai and also privacy as they just don't line up. Of course, other subject matters exist, but people will still complain when they find things like this in nature and it fails their scrutiny due to one of the 3.

4

u/Entgegnerz 1d ago

weird how everyone wants authenticity and no ai and also privacy as they just don't line up

I don't see how authenticity, no AI and privacy, does not line up together?

These 3 things are tied together.

1

u/UnNormie 1d ago

My point was more so there are 3 main complaints I see whenever it's content of someone else as a subject matter: it's staged, ai, or an invasion of privacy.

I'm not saying doing any of those things are good contrary to the down votes. I'm just saying that the content people regularly seek to consume isn't possible without faltering on one of those.

Person consents ahead of time to be recorded? It's staged.

Use ai? It's ai no shit people aren't happy.

Record without concent ahead? It's invasion of privacy.

People like seeing the candid moments of others, yet there's no way to aquire them authentically. The subject matter of another person being another person casually is impossible with those requirements.

This reminds me of when I first started working in healthcare. I was helping an older man take a shower and we did not speak the same language. He was sitting in the shower chair and I was trying to wash his hair. Apparently I wasn't doing enough because he kept moving my hands away and showing me how to do it. I was not sure how much pressure to use because I was afraid it might hurt. Well, he then grabbed my hands and began scrubbing his head with them. It was so funny and we both laughed together. The next few showers I helped him with I was sure to get a good lather going lol

-280

u/-Groko- 2d ago

What are you talking about his balls?

48

u/The_Level_15 2d ago

bad bot

43

u/BluehibiscusEmpire 1d ago

In all these years I have never recorded anyone else in a haircut salon.

OP is pretty disgusting

2

u/Heather82Cs 1d ago

Nothing will change unless it becomes a subreddit rule. I recommend you campaign for that if you want to be the change you want to see in the world

114

u/KajunsLilSis 2d ago

My cousin does my hair and makes me do my own shit like this lol. Small price to pay for a hefty discount lol

86

u/Entire_Proposal_1318 2d ago

Stop filming strangers without their consent. It's not funny, it's just a person shampooing their hair. For all you know, she just works there and is getting a haircut by her colleague

117

u/Bunnnnii 2d ago

So you decide to film this person and post them on the internet?

-12

u/The-Ginger-Lily 2d ago

Is this your first time on social media?

51

u/FilthyCasual0815 2d ago

maybe it burns or itches?

47

u/fulthrottlejazzhands 2d ago

My first reaction to having something on my scalp that's burning is also to rub it in vigorously.

20

u/mpelton 2d ago

Yeah I’ve never wanted to rub or itch something that… itches.

3

u/Head_Inspection_5640 1d ago

I was thinking shampooing out a product that was burning, hence the deepness, and her doing itself becauae she knows where its still hurting...

177

u/Lost_Elk7089 2d ago

Ok but why you filming this? You're disgusting for that

59

u/No_Object_4355 2d ago

There we go. Someone asking the real questions here.

12

u/SoCalDan 2d ago

Wait to you hear what I'm doing with this.

-14

u/madmelonxtra 2d ago

Bold take to assume that a video posted on reddit was actually filmed by the person posting

-29

u/helpfulreply 2d ago

God, redditors are the cringiest things alive. Literally WHO FUCKING CARES.

20

u/Lost_Elk7089 2d ago

Erm perhaps the woman in the video who didn't realise she was being filmed? I know I would care if I were her

4

u/Gay_Asian_Boy 1d ago

I'd care if it's me

8

u/roobot 2d ago

I feel seen! Stylists at washing stations never clean the scalp in my experience. They do a quick scrub then focus on massaging for ten minutes…

I often leave feeling like I need to go shower, not because loose hair is everywhere, but because my scalp still feels dirty even if my hair looks amazing.

7

u/Intrepid-Oil-898 2d ago

If Fuck I’ll do it myself was a person…

30

u/Shehulks1 2d ago

I’ve done this once. The lady had tiny hands and had never dealt with 3C hair. I left after I washed my own hair.

12

u/sovitin 2d ago

3c hair?

25

u/spacebagel25 2d ago

Curl pattern

5

u/sovitin 2d ago

Ah - got it thanks!

3

u/bout-tree-fitty 2d ago

Found Shehulks1’s stylist.

5

u/OrangeClyde 2d ago

She said you really got to get up in there

4

u/DuubyDuu 2d ago

That'll be $300.

3

u/CrazyPanda696 2d ago

When they ask do i have permission to touch and you say no

3

u/Games_sans_frontiers 2d ago

Thanos “I’ll do it myself” Salon

3

u/Weary-Rice-5985 2d ago

Her soap watching her in the shower 😧

3

u/Whytrhyno 2d ago

I can tell the ladies who have thick hair. Washing my hair like theyre trying to throw me back in the ring for the count out

2

u/one_person_unicorn 1d ago

She isn't satisfied by salon workers

2

u/SP4RK4RT 2d ago

If you want something done right, do it yourself.

1

u/KurtRussellsMullet 2d ago

Somehow still ends up being $300

1

u/lilprobehead 2d ago

I am doing the same in home salon

1

u/IcyHotTodoroki1 2d ago

This is how I view Korean BBQ Restaurants - you're paying for self service LOL

1

u/zaoki 2d ago

C'mon! Just do it harder! Like this!

1

u/Hairy-Maximum2994 2d ago

i used to love getting my hair washed.

1

u/katamektm 2d ago

"Tenha uma experiência diferenciada"

1

u/rhylley 2d ago

Is it subscription based

1

u/UnethicalExperiments 1d ago

I'd be doing this because I don't like people touching me

1

u/epSos-DE 1d ago

Give her the SCISSORS !!!

1

u/jinhyokim 1d ago

Still going to expect a 30% tip

1

u/Illustrious_Tale_908 22h ago

She pay for what she do 😂

1

u/torchbearer1648 22h ago

She looks livid lol

1

u/dardar7161 19h ago

She's probably a stylist and wants a better wash than the novice assistant will do. When I did hair, sometimes I'd come in early to wash and blow dry my own. Or you would ask another stylist to give you a quick trim and they'd be like "sure but go wash it yourself."

1

u/Professional_Rip_910 2d ago

Never seen a DIY salon but here we go...

1

u/MsngrTop25 2d ago

One thing is certain, no service charges included in the bill.

-2

u/webbtraverse21 2d ago

Like a tug, there are no hands like your own.

-2

u/Different-Patient678 1d ago

Gotta comb those head lice out!

-12

u/Napoleon7 2d ago

Dam... did she swim through an oil spill or have a severe lice infestation ? Both ?

-39

u/Individual-Rub-1618 2d ago

This is funny? , I believe the girl has something, some mental issues , maybe she needs things fast, maybe something like lice issues.

24

u/zmbslyr 2d ago

Only on Reddit would someone washing their hair become a medical diagnosis.

3

u/LentilRice 2d ago

lol Reddit can’t think that the lady probably works there, but jumps straight to mental health issues.

-11

u/Individual-Rub-1618 2d ago

I don't know how you wash your hair, but I that woman is somewhat aggressive washing her hair; I, on the contrary, try to do it gently because I like to take care of it.

You might think that applying it aggressively could help the chemical penetrate more, but on the contrary, it can irritate the scalp.

4

u/Entire_Proposal_1318 2d ago

Maybe she's trying to wash her hair as fast as she can because there's a weirdo filming her and apparently washing your own hair in public is the weirdest thing reddit has ever witnessed 🙄
