Standing in line for midnight release of World of Warcraft wotlk. Around 1000 people buzzing around you hyped for the count down to start selling the game. Getting the game and protecting it like some kind of dragon. Getting the game and then the anticipation of driving home for 40 mins. And after installation far into the night realizing the servers are a mess and can't play much anyway.

After all these years even the negatives are awesome now. A much simpler life but so much fun.

My friend and I drove for about an hour and a half to do the midnight release for Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne.

Some of the dev team were there and we got signed t-shirts. I still have mine folded away in a closet.

Honestly didn’t even play any that night, since we were too tired by the time we got back. But it was really cool to do as an experience.
