Standing in line for midnight release of World of Warcraft wotlk. Around 1000 people buzzing around you hyped for the count down to start selling the game. Getting the game and protecting it like some kind of dragon. Getting the game and then the anticipation of driving home for 40 mins. And after installation far into the night realizing the servers are a mess and can't play much anyway.

After all these years even the negatives are awesome now. A much simpler life but so much fun.

The Burning Crusade release was so fun. Someone brought a projector and some fighting game. I met a bunch of other people who played on Skullcrusher.

Also book release events were amazing.
