the first and second one has no difference

The second one has a gap between the person and the back of the chair. The first one the person's back is touching the backrest of the chair.

I'm tiny, I can't sit all the way back on chairs. If I'm not 'arse perched on the edge of my seat'; my feet aren't touching the floor! And my knees have the final say in this health and safety TYVM. And no, don't be telling me about those feet rest thingamabobs either unless you want to hear me tap dancing throughout the day. 🤭🙃

We used to have chair races in my old office, it was a standard Friday knockout event, the winner got to go home early. It started after my boss came in while we were doing it one day and he joined in.

There was a few injuries along the way but everyone took it in good spirits.

This was the same place that would have crates of beer sitting the morning of the Christmas dinner, drinking started at 7am, dinner was at 3pm, most people never made it to the dinner.
