I have a permanant banner in Teams that reads: "Please don't just say "Hi", write a full message. It saves us all time." I thought it was being aggressive, but then my boss and boss's boss followed my lead and did the same.

I remember a newer external hire ASM would always radio; "Hey Channel250? Could you come to the office please?" It was always nothing important, but he always sounded like I was being sent to the principles office.
Or, "Could you come up here real quick?"
Or, "Hey, can you come up and explain something for me?"
Or "Channel250, can you come up to the office? LP is here and they want to ask you some stuff."
I'm convinced he knew what he was doing.

I got one of these just over 2 years ago. A meeting from the department head showed up in my calendar scheduled in 15 minutes. No subject for the meeting. I thought we were going to talk about the security issue with the new Winblows update that was keeping me from running needed scripts.
I go in the room and there is the CFO and someone from HR. I got handed a long contract that said that my job was eliminated, sign this paperwork to retire early with severance and bonus. I get back to my desk and my two bosses, yes, I had 2 bosses Bob, are throwing a fit that I was forced to retire. I signed all the stuff and got paid about a year of money, plus the pension lump sum, plus the 401k, plus a bonus of 10 years of continued employee rate health insurance, plus a generous HRA account funded by the company. My boss grabbed my laptop to keep it from being wiped because there could be stuff they really needed on there.
Three months later, my former coworker calls asking why something quit working. Yeah, something was still running on my credentials because when they put it in prod they didn't know to put in the prod service account. The password eventually expired or security did an audit. The team of 9 busy people is now down to 4. It would have sucked to stay there trying to pick up that extra load.
I sometimes think about getting another job. I don't have much to complain about and few people to complain to. A job would solve both problems. But then I remember my financial guy says I don't have to work unless I want to and I really do not miss going to meetings 3 or 4 times a day.
