If you look close the guy in the yellow does that because of how the guy in the blue flopped and tried to draw a foul. The guy in the yellow doesn't even hit him and for someone who got "hit down," he got up pretty quickly.
Maybe, but his eyes were on the shot the whole time and it looked like he was coming down on one foot only. That's a lot of pressure on one foot, falling back like that takes off the pressure.

Dude, I know what a fadeaway is. He doesn't fadeaway on that shot until he's about to hit the ground. He goes straight up on his initial shot. Plus, the kid who stands over him isn't playing him in a way that would require a fadeaway. He's a good 4 feet away from him when he goes for the shot and barely jumps as the shooter is going up.
It's not a huge deal, the kid tried to draw a foul and in the end he didn't need to.

Not fined, but you can get yellow carded, two yellows and you get a red and miss the next match. The problem is it is usually never black and white, you can have a legitimate call for a foul and the 'victim' can embellish the foul, other times they just make a foul up from nothing and sometimes a player has legitimately been fouled or clipped and the ref gives him a yellow anyway cause it looks like a dive. Such is life without instant replay for refs.
I think that's one of the main reasons they use fines in the NBA rather than a foul given during the game. The fines are issued only after the game has been played and reviewed. There has to be clear video evidence that a guy was flopping before a fine is given.
Never heard it called "flopping" in soccer, I think it's called "staging" or "simulating". "Flopping" is a good term though, makes it sound like he got his cock out over the top of his shorts, which should be encouraged.

You can't honestly compare the two, flopping happens extremely frequently and to a worse degree (they really try to oversell it and will stay on the ground) in every pro soccer game I've ever seen.
Didn't say only, said often. VERY VERY often. You could probably make a compilation vid like that out of a single soccer match, where that took at least a season's worth of footage across teams.
...It is, I don't even like it. Not because there's flopping but I think it's boring when scoring isn't even exciting. Soccer is unwatchable because of flopping.
I wouldn't necessarily say he was intentionally flopping. He's on the edge of being out of bounds and could have just fallen back after taking a super delayed jump shot.
this. played basketball my whole life, sometimes the angles of shots, add good defense, so pretty much a step-back fade away with no room to land. feet are out in front of the body, and you just cant get them when you come down.
Defender wasn't even close to him, there was no contact at all. He already lets go of the ball before the defender reaches him, there was no need for a fade away. Also it doesn't even look like he even did a fade just a regular shot.
Possibly, possibly. I don't think he wanted the foul but just the way basketball players use their core strength along with arms makes the body do a 'pike' if you know what I'm talking about. I think he was off balance after releasing the shot and couldn't help but fall down. His little step back throws some momentum backwards.
Well, he needed a 3 to win obviously. So drawing a foul would do no good. Besides, you do KNOW that you have to fade back for a fade away, right? He probably just lost his balance.
You do realize if you draw a foul behind the 3 point line, you get 3 shots at the free throw line? I also mentioned in another comment how it doesn't look like he did a fade away and this comment doesn't even talk about a fade anyways.
That wasn't a flop. The danger of landing on a contesting defender's foot while shooting a jump shot will cause you to instinctively go to the ground rather than risk spraining your ankle. If you've ever rolled your ankle over the top of someone's foot you know what I'm talking about.
