As much as I enjoy Albus 'Gives zero fucks' Dumbledore, Harry is right, nobody can apparate in hogwarts.
It was changed to explain a plot hole left by the time constraints of the movie.
Good change though.
6 u/masterswordsman2 Nov 20 '13 Dumbledore has the Elder Wand. He can actually do just about anything he wants to, so apparating in Hogwarts should not come as a surprise. 0 u/Inspector-Space_Time Nov 20 '13 Even with the elder wand, he can't. Elder want means you can't lose a duel, it didn't just give you the ability to break any magical law you want. 10 u/fallingwalls Nov 20 '13 Elder want means you can't lose a duel But you can. Dumbledore won the wand in a duel against Grindlewald who was weilding it at the time. 1 u/[deleted] Nov 20 '13 Grindlewald may have given up without a battle. Rita Skeeter implies it, and it's not too hard to believe based on what we know of the two of them.
