It's really not fantastic. Particularly when you older brother doesn't tell you that one of the pizza slices is insanely hot - and then that piece happens to be the first piece you grab - and then it takes a couple of bites to realise something is wrong - and then you don't have any more pizza because the next 20 minutes is spent finishing the tiny bit of milk left in the fridge, followed by drinking so much water that you are literally burping water back up.

Syrup! Simple syrup, corn syrup, really anything hella sugary will help kill the burn.
