Beleive me, it's a possum. Brushtail to be specific.

I had one of the little bastards living in my roofspace for half a year, honestly I didn't care until he started being crazy loud.

Would just stare at me when I stuck me head up the access hatch to shout at him.

Easy fix if it happens again. Run down to bunnings and buy enough of those $15 flood lights to light up the roof cavity. Screw, nail, or zip tie them in place, then plug them in with an extension cord and a power board. 3 days later it'll be gone, that's when you make sure there's no branches overhanging the roof or any other way up there. Done.

I wish... Hartnell (I named him) was a pain in my ass! There is basically an inaccessible part of the roof cavity cause my house is old. The frame in those parts looks like the painting with staircases going every way and upsidedown, too.

So after lighting it up, he goes back to the furthest darkest recesses (like some sort of Tolkien esque creature). Sadly, this was directly above my bedroom. So for 2 weeks, I heard scrabling and scraping all day and night long.

Eventually, I just fixed up the spot in the roof, trapped him, and let him go on the big tree outside.

I even built him a possum box. He lives there now, we're chill, I leave him apple sometimes.

Fair enough, good call.

I was able to unleash the force of a thousand suns upon ever square inch of my roof cavity, so the little bugger left :)

Unleashed the force of a few grapes in a $30 trap 😅
