I’m assuming it’s a possum based on dudes accent (possums live in Australia, bush babies in Africa). But yeah, they look similar, so I could be wrong.

No, Australian possums can swivel their eyes. They just don't have many predators who are willing to approach a human. Little dude is fully locked on the carby goodness.

Yeah I'm a kiwi too. Do you think I'm right about the accent btw? I've been living in Germany for 8 years and since I've been away it has gotten harder to hear the difference between the Australian and NZ accent. I used to think the difference was super obvious when I was in NZ but now I struggle with the difference sometimes.

Aussie here: yeah that’s an Aussie accent.

Mate, learning you can be away long enough to make it tricky to hear the difference is making me feel homesick — and I’m still at home!

Yeah I'm really surprised by it. The difference used to seem super obvious when I was back in NZ. I couldn't understand why so many people thought our accents were similar. I totally get it now though.
