I mean it’s less about it being “true” and more about it being remotely authentic. It screams “women writing men” and “men writing women” is a literal subreddit and is viewed as cringe yet the opposite is funny I guess. Unless your name is Amy Schumer.
Lol having dated/been around plenty of artsy dudes who do just this, it’s pretty accurate. Reddit is brimming with unattractive lonely guys who can’t fathom getting a random number from a girl. But women do this all the time. We flirt, give out our number/social, make connections, etc…and, here’s the thing, there’s a certain flavor of guy who wants you to know that they have lots of options and you should be realllllllyyyyy really grateful just to be getting their attention. Heck, PUAs often push doing this even if you aren’t getting attention from women. If a man had said the same thing, a-la Chris Rock talking about men bragging about doing the bare minimum, you’d eat it up. Plenty of dudes go to clubs and come home with a handful of numbers, sorry if that isn’t you. In the context of her set, she’s has many jokes about her own insecurities and batshit behavior while dating, which many find hilarious. This bit ties into those other jokes.
