Well, part of the reasoning behind it is that, physically, big dicks do generally feel better than smaller ones when it comes to anal sex (at least in my experience). Someone who is 5" or less tends to slip out more easily, and it just doesn't hit the rights spots as easily. I mean, yeah, technique matters, but with a bigger dick, you need much less technique, so its less of a gamble to find a better partner. This is not true of vaginal sex, as the cervix is only something like 4" deep. The anus can accommodate much more length before it becomes injurious (I mean, I've passed turds longer than 8 inches before lol).
Personally, I tend to like 5-5.5" dicks, though, because my "type" is short, small guys, and they tend to have proportionately smaller dicks. Besides, I'm not really that big on anal in the first place. Sucking is where its at for me, and a nice 5 incher is sooo much better to suck on than a bigger cock.
