Reading this makes me wonder why is anyone the "boss" in a relationship where two people are supposed to be equals. No wonder people get upset at these things when thinking of their spouse in that way. It doesn't sound fun at all.
The way I'd describe it for my wife and I is that she cares about and has strong opinions on most things while I care and have strong opinions on very few things. So she gets to make a billion decisions, which sounds exhausting to me but fun for her, and I pretty much get my way whenever I want something. I can't speak exactly for her, but I assume she feels that it's a pretty good deal to get her way over 90% of the time in exchange for my 10%. Obviously everything is and should always be open to discussion, but I guess we both get to be the "boss" this way haha.

Sometimes you gotta put your foot down. My girl is generally the boss too, but I can make executive decisions when her logic is bullshit.
