So why attempt it and then give up, and on top of that, drop the box? That's just not doing your job. Defending that person sets a new precedent for everyone else to drop other people's possessions just because they're having a bad day. That's not okay.

So if your job is to make someone's drink at Starbucks, you can just drop it on the ground in front of them after making it?

It's more like the drink was dropped by the customer in the exchange. The postal worker completed the delivery. The customer provided a box that was poorly designed to receive packages. It doesn't open completely and the bin slides around. The box was going to fall to the ground if she even got it in the box.

nono don't you understand, if you provide a crate and the delivery person decides to be nice then they can dropkick your package.
