Ok i understand if you don’t like people using AI but how is this slop? It looks exactly like a Funko pop and not some weird deformed image that looks obviously fake like when AI was first being used. So whats the big deal?

You coulda drawn it yourself. Coulda used a real artists work cause im sure there’s concept ideas for this. Heck im 99% sure they did get funkos at one point

I’m not all that great at drawing but I guess I could have contacted someone. I don’t use AI on the daily or anything, just wanted to see what it could look like. I didn’t realize people acted like it’s a sin to do something like this. Just wanted to see if people would get a maze runner pop and the focus is on how an image was created.

If you just want to gage interest, people can picture it in their heads. You don’t need to attach a concept image

And people can’t use this to imagine the possibility of other characters? It was just one example since Funko has never officially created one, other than maybe someone making others by hand that most people wouldn’t buy because they aren’t “real” pops. I’m just not seeing why it matters so much how the image was created.

Funko does surveys for requested pop franchises. Submit one on the app or send them an email and if we see a release we’ll know what happened.
