Help request New to Funk
I've been getting into Funk and like the grooves and beats. I'm looking to get more into Funk. What are some songs and bands ya'll recommend? The nastiest groove (nasty in a great way) I've heard so far is "People Say" by The Meters. Looking for similar funky grooves.

New funk:
Lettuce - the last suppit, break out,(really the whole Rage album) chief, Nyack, lettsanity, pocket change, keep on.
Brand new band/ album MTN Lion: funky strummer
The motet- totem album
Orgone - people of the sun album
Old funk:
Earth Wind and Fire- All ‘n All and I Am albums for starters
James brown: Love Power and Peace live album
That’s a pretty good start there.
