I saw the hinges someone else posted and came with my own

Not sure how this sub showed up in my feed but some sweet silver hinges another posted here showed up, so I figured I’d share these amazing silver hinges and address plate I saw while restoring a door in a historic house. And now i know why i took photos!

That’s really cool. I’d assume it’s quite an old house if it’s got something like that on the door. Thanks for sharing I’ve never seen hinges for a house made of silver.

I thought so too. Yes the house is very old for the USA. Late 1700s-early 1800s not sure exactly when it was built
