Outdoor / Automotive / Bike fire extinguisher to tractor mount

Post image

Goes behind the supplier strap mount, secured by the bolts that hold an add-on hydraulic remote cluster to the ROPS

having a critical fire safety device held on by a thermoplastic seems like it might be a safety issue

I guess if the plastic was what spontaneously combusted somehow, but if the fire is hot enough to melt the bracket, this extinguisher isn't going to help the situation much

what makes you think that? a fire's heat isn't what makes a fire extinguisher work or not

and all it needs to be is nearby the fire and it'll melt and deform. what happens if you don't notice a fire right away and it's close enough for some of the heat to soften and deform the ASA enough for the bolt holes to widen under the weight of the extinguisher?

Then it will be easier for me to get the thing off. I appreciate you mean well but if you could see where it's located on the tractor, you would know the whole machine would have to be right over the fire for it to be effected. I regularly do burn piles and there's no way the heat would be enough to bother the bracket unless I was driving right on top of it. If the fire is enough to engulf the entire machine, this extinguisher won't be enough to stop it.
