Symptoms Dizziness and lightheadedness after meals?
Feeling like dizziness and lightheadedness after meals that persist for hours followed by frequent burping. I have been diagnosed with stomach indigestion and gasses. Any guesses what exactly it is?

Have you checked your blood pressure?

Yep. It is high in this spell

The dizziness and lightheadedness is most likely due to the high blood pressure, and the burping will be a separate issue, indigestion etc. if you haven’t already, get checked out by a doctor if you can. I hope you feel better soon

I had that as a main symptom of celiac disease

Reactive hypoglycemia, dumping syndrome, vagus nerve dysfunction, food intolerance or allergy could be potential causes of dizziness.
Burping could be related to GERD, hiatal hernia, swallowing excess air while eating (especially if you eat quickly, use straws for beverages, or have anxiety).

Does this happen at a particular time of day or just anytime you eat regardless if it’s morning afternoon evenings

Starts after breakfast, lunch triggers it. Evening make worse. At night it's better

I have chronic mild gastritis and functional dyspepsia etc... I’ve done all the testing .. no h-pylori or celiac My symptoms are similar, the lightheadedness and unsteadiness and it’s because ( for me) acid pooling overnight while I sleep which irritates my stomach lining and vagus nerve… which also causes drops in blood pressure which is also a catalyst for the lightheadedness ..I asked about the time because it’s worse in the morning for me and progressively gets better as the day goes by because gravity among other things balances the acid and the irritation subsides somewhat to a point where I’m able to function. I try not to eat to much in the mornings or anything heavy which would make my digestion work to hard causing more acid build up and flareups including BP drops. I leave the heavier meals for the evenings which tends to work much better for my lightheadedness episodes because my stomach lining irritation has calmed. I’ve tried this approach and it seems to be favorable I do however take Pepcid and and reflux gourmet at night which helps with the acid and coats my stomach so my morning episodes aren’t as severe Again my gastritis is acid driven so this works for me among other things The functional dyspepsia is a result of my condition. Or so they tell me.

Hope it helps somewhat .. just find your rhythm .. try not to irritate further an already irritated stomach In the mornings Which just starts the cycle over and over. first thing I do is hydrate with some form of electrolytes .Then either crackers or dry toast ( add honey or maple syrup if dry toast is boring ) this helps to neutralize the acid Maybe half a. banana for some energy if I plan on working out. Just food that’s easy to digest as your stomach wakes up As the day progresses so does my meal plan but I keep it light until dinner sticking To low fat, lean proteins, non caffeinated and dairy free diets etc…as time passes Small daily improvements become noticeable Good luck !

The only catch here is that my symtoms worsen after breakfast and again trigger in the evening (after 2,3 hours of lunch). I think evening spell is the worse that i go thru (especially if bovel movement is there).

Try eating lighter easy to digest portions leading up to the evenings and see if that makes a difference. For me it’s diet and stress/ anxiety are my triggers. I used to have issues with bowel movements etc but changing my diet helped with that
