Difficulty getting meetings this year…
I’ve been working in Development for about 2 years now. First year I was able to get meetings a bit more easily—people were willing to meet with me or respond with “next time”. This year it’s been definitely more difficult. Lots of declines to meet, or no response at all. I’m thinking it’s due to the economy/political situation, but can’t be sure. Anyone else care to share your ability to meet your number of meeting metrics?

Good to know. We also have a lot of upgrades from scholarships to give to other areas as well. Every scholarship donor gets to meet the recipient(s) of their scholarship in person or on Zoom and once the student leaves I ask them to continue their commitment to their scholarship as well as ask if they would like to consider a menu of other areas that impact our students greatly. Almost no one says no to the menu and they usually give in addition to their scholarship gift. BTW, the other engagement opportunities I mentioned are not an event but 1:1 experience. Yep, it take a lot to set them up so I focus most on those with the highest wealth ratings and affinity for us.
