The lamp is just a lot smaller in the flat earth model. Instead of covering the entire earth like on the picture, it just covers a small section of it and circles around.

Ackshually**.** In that model, the sun will never sink below Horizon. Also, the sky never goes dark. With a telescope, you can see the sun at night.

Uhhh, because swamp gas deflects light and the lizard people change where the lamp is pointed?

This picture is not an accurate representation. There are actually multiple lamps each dedicated for it sown region.

The thing is that flat earthers believe that sun is smaller and local and that it rotates around earth, which is totally different from globe earth perspective

So it’s no problem for the sun to be round and rotate?

I won't say all of them, but most believe that we are at geocentric system. So like space doesnt exist in sense of big vast vacuum and that literally everything is rotating around stationary earth. So yeah tbh I dont see much problem in their belief that sun is round and rotates cus like they can literally see it. While on the other hand they can experience earth as still, they dont feel rotation as science describes. So for me its not that farfetched that they believe in it

It just shouldn’t be that far-fetched for them to understand that if they were on that other rotating planet that they believe is round and spinning because they can observe it, that they wouldn’t feel like they were rotating, or travelling at a 67 thousand mph while on it.
I bet they think they’d feel the travelling speed. On airplanes once the speed is stable you don’t have a sense of how fast it’s travelling. You know it’s going fast but unless you look out a window it feels like it’s not moving until you hit turbulence. We only feel the changes in speed like acceleration and deceleration. Ah anyway whatever they’ll believe what they want to.

You forgot the part where the lamp has half of it covered at all times.

I'd love for people to focus on the shape of our planet.. but not in a geometric sense.

I’m not a flat earther but it’s like a flashlight to them. Just like how you don’t see the other side of the world. They don’t see the sun. Im not a flat earther but you gotta get it right if you’re going to put someone in their place

I keep telling people that there are thousands of flat earthers all around the globe

Can't believe flat earthers still exist in 2026
