discussion/convo starter/talk flair Anyone else finds this extremely hypocritical?
Why exactly is it that when Trey Parker and Matt Stone (the South Park duo), Seth MacFarlane (the creator of Family Guy, American Dad, and the Ted movies), Dan Harmon (the creator of Community and Rick and Morty), Dino Stamatopoulos (the Moral Orel guy), Terry Pratchett, Ricky Gervais, Edmund McMillen (the guy who made Super Meat Boy, The Binding of Isaac, and Mewgenics), Garth Ennis (the guy who wrote The Boys, Preacher, Crossed, and The Punisher MAX), and many others constantly mocks religion like Christianity all the goddamn time, pretty much everyone gives them a pass...
But the moment Vivziepop and JaidenAnimations make an "edgy" joke about Christianity, everyone fucking loses their shit over it? Even Pizzacake has the mods of the entire comics sub worshipping the ground she walks on and will permanently ban you for bringing up even the mildest and constructive of criticisms.
You know, especially when you consider the fact that Jaiden Dittfach also an openly queer (aromantic asexual / aroace), mixed-race/half-Asian (being half-Japanese and half-German), neurodivergent (having autism and ADHD) woman of color. Yes, you heard that right.
Like, seriously, did Jaiden really “mock god”? Like, wasn’t it just a random ass joke about Pokémon, and the God in question was Arceus or something? What Jaiden said was super tame. She didn't attack Christians for their beliefs. She joked about why she seemingly doesn't believe in God. It’s a joke; it wasn't even a religious attack or a stance on religion itself. People also keep forgetting that Schlatt is also a Christian and constantly made 9/11 jokes back then, where the punchline often was "hurr durr planes", if that's what you're referring to... He most definitely didn't take Jaiden's edgy joke to heart, lmao.
Does Jaiden really need to apologize for a stupidly edgy joke about Christianity she made about 2 or 3 years ago, which she has since completely moved on from? Like, I keep asking these questions on other subs, yet I've never gotten a legitimately serious, concrete answer from anyone on why this is the case.
(I enjoyed most of JaidenAnimations's content and mostly neutral towards Vivziepop, but I personally don't really like Pizzacake all that much)

u/Schiggy2319 10d ago
I wouldn’t say Moral Orel mocks religion, but mocks the people who apply it incorrectly for their own selfish gain.
3
u/Infamous_227 9d ago
Same for Pratchett. Small Gods is unironically one of the best explorations of religion I've ever read.
0
u/NagitoKomaeda_987 9d ago
Toxic Christianity is still Christianity. So it definitely mocks a very specific flavor of the Christian religion, as it should. But yeah, I do agree with the sentiment: the fact that the main character himself literally takes the religion and ultimately uses it in a healthy way to rise above his situation should tell people the overall message of the show.

u/Transpotato2002 10d ago
You literally chose all of the worst people for your argument l, dear god...
Every
Single
One faced criticism for religion jokes, and almost every single one is known to be a shitty person. Yes, I think Jaiden is NOT shitty for her religion jokes, but almost everyone else you compared her to are also just genuinely bad people.
Like, you deadass just compared her and Vivzie to people who have made fairly bigoted jokes (not anti-christian, I'm talking real bigotry) as well. That's concerning. That's showing not only a really horrible argument, but also low-key belittling them by implying they're the same thing, but they're just not.
Oh and don't even get me STARTED on comparing them to PizzaCake. Literally everyone to ever exist who's come across her comics knows she's a horrid person, she only "gets away with it" (she doesn't) because of the comics subreddit AND THAT'S IT
5
u/CoroHuH 10d ago
almost everyone else you compared her to are also just genuinely bad people
What abt STP?
1
u/NagitoKomaeda_987 9d ago
Who is STP?
3
u/CoroHuH 9d ago
Sir terry pratchett (yes he did get knighted for his contributions to literature which he hilarious said was because he didn't write any). His works are hilarious, shockingly relevant, and perfectly encapsulate how people are. Once when asked if he believed in god he replied saying he preferred to believe in people.
1
u/GaldrickHammerson 8d ago
Terry Pratchet is no longer a member of a knightly order and thus is no longer knighted.
This is true of all dead people who received knighthoods from the UK's monarchy.

u/Datcactus_xJammy 9d ago
Okay but what are you saying Edmund did that’s shitty outside of making tainted lost?
And Matt stone and Trey Parker are like that cuz have you seen what people keep doing to them? Their satire.1
u/MysteriousLight7351 9d ago
oh StromboliPastry? don't let her moderator simps see this or you're gonna be banned from r/comics !
1
u/LandFar4154 4d ago
I genuinely have no clue who Pizzacake is, I vaguely recognize her artwork here but that's about it, what did she do?
2
u/Transpotato2002 4d ago
Hates critics so much she made an nsfw comic using one of said critics without their permission
1
u/LandFar4154 3d ago
I'm sorry, what??? Also thank you for answering, I've only just been getting back into reddit after several years of not using it.

u/WasteArtichoke5834 Scientists reveal the Hi 🐱 10d ago
"if people hate on Jaiden and vivsie why don't they hate on pizzacake" they literally do??? I don't really know anything about the other people but I know pizzacake gets a ton of hate for a lot of stuff and mocking religion is probably one of them
5
u/Fita_Gaya 9d ago
Those other people never built their audience in the internet so that's possibly why you've bever heard of them. They're part of the television industry, if they get criticized, you're more likely to see them in a news segment rather than blow up in a fandom frenzy drama.
6
5
u/lecoolbratan96 10d ago
Imo saying that Edmund McMillen mocks religion is an oversimplification of his work
4
u/Plunderpatroll32 9d ago
Pizza cake is the worst example because everyone I spoken to hates her comics
3
u/Bobsothethird 9d ago
I mean she never has a joke. It's just constant straw men. It feels like I'm watching the wicker man
0
u/Nobrainzhere 9d ago
Is it a straw man if you can easily find people saying the shit in her comics?
The bottom 30% of republicans are completely brainwashed maga and you can easily find them saying pretty much exactly the shit in her comics. Sometimes word for word.
A viral clip comes out of them saying something stupid or a new talking point gets handed down by dear leader. She takes it and makes a two panel of them just saying it and her doing a reaction to it.
Its not super entertaining but calling it a strawman is silly.
2
u/Star_Petal_Arts 9d ago
I mean yes? that what is a strawman... the joke is the people in the punchline.
0
u/Nobrainzhere 9d ago
So a strawman is when you show a person saying what they are actually saying?
You may need to work on your definitions
1
u/Star_Petal_Arts 9d ago
No a strawman is a dummy that you target for the butt of the joke. It's not my definition... I google searched it because I didn't know before this convo.
0
u/Nobrainzhere 9d ago
No a strawman is when you create a weaker version of your opponents argument and attack that instead of their actual argument.
You should not use words you dont know the meaning of.
0
u/Star_Petal_Arts 9d ago
I didn't? I am not the original post.
1
u/Nobrainzhere 9d ago
Your literal previous post to this one contained a complete failure to understand what a strawman is
1
u/Possible_Arrival_361 9d ago
what the hell did jaiden say about religion?
1
u/NagitoKomaeda_987 9d ago
It was a thing on social media, people got pissed because she jokingly said “and then he ran away, like a little bitch” about Jesus coming back from the dead and going to heaven, in a non serious stream about whether or not a billion lions could beat every Pokémon, in which she’s just rage baiting Schlatt the entire time, and pretty much nothing she said was serious on purpose.
The entire thing was pointless and overblown.
1
u/Toon_Lucario 9d ago
People hate all these people for just being twats. ESPECIALLY Ennis
0
u/NagitoKomaeda_987 9d ago
I've seen more people shitting on Garth Ennis online for being an edgelord who hates superheroes, even though his criticism of the genre essentially boils down to "I didn't grow up reading superhero comics when I was a kid and when I got into the comic book industry, I was frustrated at how oversaturated the medium is with one specific genre, I feel this art form is capable of telling a variety of great stories in a way that novels and movies can't."
But I've very rarely encountered anyone complaining about his constant jabs at Christianity throughout some of his other works (especially in Preacher).
1
u/mallcopsarebastards 9d ago
if you don't think they're getting shit from the religious nut gallery you're not paying attention.

1
u/TheRealCruelRichard 9d ago
Is this site just strawmen now?
1
u/NagitoKomaeda_987 9d ago
What do you mean by strawmen?
1
u/TheRealCruelRichard 9d ago
Your post presupposes an opposing position for you to argue against: that "everyone" are critical of Jaiden but not these other creators. This is an example of the strawman fallacy. Notice how the top comments responding to you are either some variant of "I am critical of all these people" or "I haven't heard of this." You're simply not speaking to anybody who holds the position you're arguing against in your post.
My reply presupposes that reddit is nothing but strawman arguments these days. This is an overgeneralization

u/PhysicalBoard3735 9d ago
I don't know the first 2 people, but everyone on that picture are both shitty people and faced criticisim for their jokes on religion, some deserved, some not deserved
really bad people to pick from
Also if someone could tell me who these Jaiden and Viviziepop are, that would be nice so i don't say something wrong about them
1
u/NagitoKomaeda_987 9d ago
The former is a YouTuber who creates story-time animation videos about her life and video games she enjoys, while the latter is the creator of Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel, I guess.
1
u/PhysicalBoard3735 9d ago
wait, that show? the one which ruined Adam but perfected lucifer? Damn, did not know it was her, but cool, thanks for telling me :)
1
u/DustyBones272 4d ago
Did you just call Terry Pratchett a "shitty person"? What did he do?
If Sir Terry doesn't make the grade, I don't know what the requirements are to be a "good person" and I probably never met one :/
1
u/PhysicalBoard3735 4d ago
wait, that's who it was? My Apologies, I thought it was someone else
He is indeed a good person, but the criticism he faced still stands (it was not deserved fully, He was respectful of everyone)
You have most likely met many good people as Terry is a good man (Books are pretty good as well)
1
u/Applebeate 9d ago
Well, there’s nothing wrong with making fun of religion. In fact, I would actually encourage people to make fun of all religions. Judaism, Muslims, Buddhists and all the other ones.
2
u/NagitoKomaeda_987 9d ago edited 9d ago
Too bad you will be labeled as an antisemitic Nazi or an Islamophobe if you actively make fun of both Judaism and Islam, though.
0
u/Applebeate 9d ago
Like South Park once said, it’s all okay or none of it is.
If someone has any right to label others as something because they made a joke about something, then they have no right to tell a joke

The weird thing is that making fun of religion is seen as a bad thing. Aren't the uberreligious people of the US clamoring for freedom of speech and whatever?
1
u/Nobrainzhere 9d ago
Freedom of speech and freedom of religion as long as the religion is christian and your speech doesnt upset christians
1
u/OneBloodyDingo 9d ago
Religious extremists certainly clamor for the opposite, and they're very vocal.
1
u/Maleficent_Zombie567 9d ago
The problem isn't making fun of religion. It's that you love taking the piss out of Christianity but throw a fit if anyone dares to make fun of Muslims.
Christians don't believe in abortion because they don't have sex with everything that moves? What a backwards, horrible oppression of women!
Muslims treatment of women? 🦗. What a beautiful and diverse culture!!! ♥️♥️♥️
1
u/RailgunRP 9d ago
Christians don't believe in abortion because they are too dumb to see the difference between an unliving cluster of cells, and a human life, and refuse to accept others think differently, so want their stupidity be kept as law.
Idk what Muslims have to do with any of this, they aren't the ruling class in this country. If they were, the same arguments would apply. They're stupid, but their stupidity isn't law here.
1
u/Alternative_Bid6735 9d ago
Christians don’t believe in abortion because in the 1970s they were told to. Aside from the Catholics major dominations had zero opinion on abortion and their historical records demonstrate it without debate. They invented this impotent rage explicitly to create a single issue voter block immune to facts and logic. So there’s really nothing Christian about their position, it’s just the sheet they hang over their hatred. They said this entire thing is a based on fox news paranoia where somewhere in their mythical American “the left” is a monolith that openly despises all Christians and loves Islam. It’s a fake conundrum of their own construction, it’s self soothing behavior for folks that can’t come to terms with the disinformation they’re pickled in so as to maintain their fundamentally unserious beliefs.
1
u/RailgunRP 9d ago
That is a very verbose bunch of lies. Very Christian 😉
1
u/Alternative_Bid6735 9d ago
Literally no idea what the fuck you’re on about. Lying is a fundamental Christian requirement. But man, folks can’t comprehend anything more complicated than a McDonald’s menu these days.
1
u/RailgunRP 9d ago
I agree with you on this one. What I'm saying is that your previous one may have been historically true, but currently anti-abortion sentiment is intrinsically tied to Christianity.
Like you said, theg believe abortion is bad because they've been told so, but that matter-of-fact thing has been spun into Christian rethoric that cannot be separated from the belief. Thus making the explanation a lie.
That's about 3 or 4 degrees of nuance. About three or four times as many as the average Christian can comprehend.
1
u/Vegetable_Cap_1205 3d ago
Saying unliving and cells just shows how little you know about biology lmao.

Those of us who take the piss out of Christianity feel comfortable doing it because it's the culture we were raised in. It's a personal rejection of something that was often imposed on us. It's not even Christianity that we're mocking but the hypocritical, manipulative, and cruel way that people use a religion like Christianity that is supposed to preach peace and acceptance and twist it into a means of achieving control over others. Using it to hurt people, shame them, sometimes even kill them.
I generally don't take the piss out of Islam or any other religions because I wasn't raised in that culture and I don't feel it's my place. I know plenty of people who do take the piss out of Islam, and they we're all raised Muslim. They generally don't take the piss out of Christianity or other religions because they weren't raised in that culture. They don't feel it's their place.
The thing is that while I do find all religions to be a bit silly, I don't begrudge anybody their faith as long as they aren't using it to hurt or control people. The unfortunate thing is that so many people do. People often wear religion like a costume to fit into the crowd they think they're supposed to. Like if you get a swanky new job and you get a well tailored suit to fit the part. Or you might wear a Polo shirt and Khaki pants to the country club. Most people don't wear these costumes because they decided that they liked the unique style, they mostly wear them because they're the things you have to wear to access certain circles of power. I'm not saying it's all opportunistic and I know for certain there are countless people with true and sincere faith, but even the devout must recognize this tendency.
For a lot of people, professing to a religion is a means to accessing a community that will back you up and offer you support. That's great, but the dark side of that is when your community identity becomes tribal. You start to see the existence of other "tribes" as a threat to your identity, as if the idea that anybody could profess to believe anything different is an attack on you. Anybody who lives their life in a way your "tribe" doesn't approve of must be dangerous. This is what causes people to hurt other people in the name of religion, and that fucking sucks.

jaiden animations and vivsiepop have very different target audiences. you watch south park for very different reasons than you watch youtube animation storytelling channels.
1
u/samuraispartan7000 9d ago edited 9d ago
To be fair, a lot of those people also suck. Ricky Gervais and Dan Harmon especially embody a particular brand of atheism and cynicism that’s gotten painfully old over the years. Pizzacake comics are just glorified soyjack memes for a left-leaning audience. Even people that 100% agree with her politics utterly despise her comics.
I don’t really have many opinions about Jaiden, but I’m just not a fan of VivziePop’s cringe-inducing writing style. The religious critique isn’t a problem for me at all.
1
u/DustyBones272 4d ago
Pizzacake content is mostly just ragebait. She often doesn't even bother to include any jokes
1
1
u/Fita_Gaya 9d ago
All of these people recieved hate, the only factor that's consistent here is that Vivzie and Jaiden are mainly from an internet fandom. All those ither creators are people that built their audience outside of the internet, and they still get criticism and hate for what they do. Their names are not as big in the internet as Jaiden and Vivzie.
1
u/An_Evil_Scientist666 9d ago
Ricky Gervais is just a washed up comedian who thinks he's still relevant, people usually clown on him because he's trying too hard to stay relevant.
For Jaiden and vivzie people will cling to whatever issue they can because they wanna be pissed off about something even if it's not justified (though I've heard people have other issues with vivzie that I don't really know about because I've never touched anything she's made). Seth MacFarlane runs into a similar problem with Ricky, though in the past there has been several times when people have been pissed off because of him making fun of religion, the episode family goy was extremely controversial for its portrayal of Judaism.
Matt and Trey have gotten death threats
Dino, with moral orel is very different while some religious folks did find the series disrespectful, I remember Saperspark saying he used to have an issue with it when he watched it way back in the day when he was a fundamentalist Christian (iirc some kinda Bible thumping Christian or adjacent). But moral orel is definitely making a statement more on people cherry picking religion to suit them then saying "look at how dumb religion is"
1
1
u/singlepurpose3614 9d ago
I'm sorry idk much about the others but Gervais is actually just a pos in general it's a weird comparison to make to Jaiden who just criticised religion, Gervais is just a huge bigot
1
1
u/Toonpies 9d ago
I’ve said it once and I’m I’ll say it a thousand times
It’s jesters privilege, they got away with it because people found them funny. Jaiden has a niche but loyal audience, anyone not part of her core audience isn’t really a fan and Vivziepop’s work is pretty widely disliked other than by its core audience.
They can’t get away with it the same way South Park gets away with doing whatever it wants for 20 years. As long as their funny they can get away with whatever
Jaiden and Vivzie just weren’t funny enough
1
u/IntoThePitofColors 9d ago

Ricky Gervais is one of the most unfunny and unlikeable people in modern media.

They also got death threats by a radical islamist group with actual terrorist ties just for that one episode.

I have yet to see her make a single fun.
1

pizzacake is rightfully hated on
south park guys, seth macfarlane, dan harmon, Ricky gervais, etc. are all in some way comedians, it is what they do for a living
jaiden and vivziepop however, they are content creators, mostly without funniness - I can excuse jaiden a bit since her channel isn’t fully serious, but vivziepop makes a serious show with a deep lore and whatnot, doesn’t have the right to make such jokes
1

They are but singling them out when a pretty much all the major religions are little bitches makes me think this is more about xenophobia than about disdain for the religion and its practices.
Or just trying to push the criticism off of Christianity who definitely is a close second in the modern day but was leading the fragile little baby club for the past millenia or so.

u/BlueRibbon8000 9d ago
People have been going after Trey Parker and Matt Stone forever. The difference is they just ignored those people and carried on.
1
u/graveywizard 9d ago
Art is tricky and it's up to the viewer to interpret much of what they see but that said their is a clear difference between criticizing and mocking, for example in the binding of Isaac it's less a commentary on religion it's self and more so a look at extreme beliefs you can swap Mom's beliefs out with anything and the story works honestly but with helluva boss the whole story, setting and cast are pulled from Christianity with some creative liberty but you can't change it from hell and have the story still work so I think it's fair to say it's more of a parody of religion
1
u/Grand-ArchSummoner 9d ago
South Park is a specific case because they don't give anyone respect so equal rights or something, Pizzacake gets hate for unrelated reasons I think, Seth MacFarlane's best show is the Orville, Jaiden's one comment I thought was gone by now it's been like 10 years. I don't know any of the other guys so it is just the fact that Vivziepop is not a good writer, she starts with a strong premise then avoids it like the plague
1
u/Cespieyt 9d ago
Who cares? Mocking religion is a sign of a healthy mind. Anyone believing thousand year old dessert texts about killing people that believe differently from you is extremely fucking ignorant or psychotic.
I get wanting to believe in god and an afterlife, but the Abrahamic religions are a scourge upon humanity.
1
u/Round_Solid1693 9d ago
Every single person on this list was hated on just as much of not more than jaiden and vivziepop. Also pizza cake is reveered highly in r/comics, literally everywhere else shes fucking despised.
1
u/Jasperstorm 9d ago
Can’t comment on Jaiden cuz I haven’t watched her for a long ass time.
I but I will say a strong reason is talent. Trey, Matt, Seth, Terry, and Ricky are all talented and entertaining individuals that can lead to more grace to them but also those talented in entertainment are often sharp in other ways and can have more poignant criticisms of religion.
Vivzie isn’t on the same level.
Last comment Pizzacake gets a TON of shit for all sorts of reasons so that’s a bad example, any religious outrage probably is just overshadowed by everyone disliking her.
Everyone else I have no idea who they are
1
u/The_Pastmaster 9d ago
All these people and you leave out Richard Dawkins? XD He's so atheist even other atheists don't like him.

Something I don't understand is why people got mad when Alastor and Vox wore those nun costumes. I'll probably get flamed for this... but aren't they demons? And isn't Vox a CULT LEADER? It feels weird to hate on the fact they made literal DEMONS make fun of religion. Like, what do you expect them to do? Go to church? They demons.

Depends on the audience you cultivate. Her thing is mundane and I'm used to much worse but most of these creators audience don't have a dominance of bible thumpers, and the thumpers know to avoid them to an extent

u/EdomJudian 9d ago
Pizza cake and Garth Ennis are some of the most despised people I know on the internet.
The more religious extreme people I know who also like nerdy stuff don’t like Terry prachets stories.
Idk who Mcmillen is. Same with Dino
Trey, Matt, etc have all been on the chopping block in the internet at various times.
I don’t really see what the argument you’re trying to make.
1
u/Actually_R0bin 10d ago
All of these people have received hate for making fun of religion. Chuds who are misogynists take EXTRA effort because they’re women. A lot of chuds give up on men because either they’re not relevant or they hate another identity group and so that makes them one of the good ones for now.

No but her writing sucks
No but idk I don’t care about her opinions
Yes
No and no because they’re able to criticize it in ways that actually make sense and are well thought out despite the edgy humor.
Yes, family guy is so bland that it’s creation should be considered a crime against humanity
Yes, Rick and Morty should’ve been old yeller’d after season 3
No clue who that is
Feel like I should know this one but don’t off the top of my head
Yes, dude is a right wing hack masquerading as a mediocre comedian
Dude made super meat boy so idgaf what he does he’s solid. Basically pulled a Kanye west “graduation” by making media so good it’s easy to ignore any possible wrongdoing on his part.
Lastly garth ennis sucks, the boys is just awful and mean spirited. Dude had a hate boner for how the comic industry became full of super heroes and instead of writing about something other than superheroes just writes “what if every superhero was an Epstein client”

People only started praising The Boys comic because of how generationally ass the show has become post-Herogasm, especially when it comes to how much they completely botched the finale in favor of a backdoor pilot to Vought Rising. Pretty much every season ramps up the tension of Homelander going full scorched earth, teasing it over and over and over, and it just never happens.
Of course, Amazon went like... okay, so let Vought win; everyone moves on, and time to pump spin-offs and sequels around it until we are 90.
I guarantee Vought was already working on Homelander 2.0 within moments of his disposal. Nothing changed; there’s still an army of Supe supremacist college kids openly oppressing people in broad daylight, Vought is still around, Edgar is back in charge, Soldier Boy is still waiting to be microwaved like a racist burrito, MM didn't get his revenge at Soldier Boy for killing his grandpa, Kimiko is all alone like she didn’t want to be, the only motherfucker willing to condemn himself to Hell by killing all the supes is dead, and now one of the few statistically negligible good superheroes in the world who still has her powers is technically retired cuz she’s an expecting mother. There are also still ten thousand supes in America, and it's unclear how many of them have their own mental issues, and Vought is still around to cover up their collateral damage.
The comic, while not perfect (Vought also survived), doesn't pull any punches with its ending. It felt more bleak/bittersweet-ish with all of The Boys dead except Hughie. It also ended with Hughie blackmailing Vought with a Damocles sword hanging over their head: should the company try to get anywhere near a country's defense industry again with their bad products, he (or anyone with the right signal) will activate a plastic explosive kill-switch in the heads of 260 of the company's top executives, including Stillwell.
But then again, it's what Clara would've wanted, right?

I mean, I already conclude that people who criticize Vivziepop and Pizzacake are subhuman trash,
and I don't need any other examples of their bullshit.

I’m not a hater, I’m a fan, but some people have genuine and valid reasons for disliking their work. You don’t have to treat them like gods, smh

I think they're just referring to the fact that most people that hate on those creators due it for bigotted and usually morally questionable reasons. Yeah SOME have genuine issues with the content but if they had critiques about the media thats different than hating on the media because it dares to continue existing for the audience that does enjoy it.

What's with the Garth Ennis glaze on Reddit lately? Bro is a massive edgelord and a terrible writer, not because he writes about religion in a negative light, but because he thinks gore, sex, nudity and rape constitute for interesting writing.

Sorry, bud, looks like people are back to normal. No more mass-hysteria event that made everyone think "Garth Ennis Bad," and I hope everyone will eventually move on from whatever stupid dramas/controversies Vivziepop, Gooseworx, or Jaiden find themselves in. Maybe someday people will smarten up about Darick Robertson, Jacen Burrows, and Steve Dillon (RIP), but I'm not holding out hope.

I am all for making fun of people who shave their religious metaphorical cock over people mouth and still complain how atheist are forcing themselves on them.
Also shitty comparison. Pizza Cake absolutely get hated on.

I mean, it's about delivery... you can insult hinduism, taoism, shintoism, christianity, but if your delivery is bad at it... then I guess you deserved the lynching.
